FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
An initial consultation is $195, and a follow-up consultation is $135.
Your consultation fee covers our appointment and the time spent understanding your health concerns and guiding your care. Any additional costs, such as herbal medicines, supplements or functional testing, are separate and will be discussed with you.
-
Your initial consultation is an opportunity for me to really get to know you, your health history and what you've been experiencing. We'll explore your primary health concerns, when your symptoms started, what you've tried so far and what you'd like to achieve through treatment.
I'll also take a comprehensive look at your health across all body systems, including your digestive, hormonal, thyroid, immune and nervous systems, alongside your diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress levels and any relevant medical history.
If you have existing blood test results, scans or other investigations, we'll discuss these as part of your assessment.
From there, I'll begin identifying potential underlying factors contributing to your symptoms and develop a personalised approach to supporting your health.
Within 3 business days of your consultation, you'll receive a personalised treatment plan outlining my recommendations for your care. This may include individualised herbal medicine and supplement prescriptions, dietary recommendations, lifestyle changes and any further testing I recommend to help guide your treatment.
Your plan will be tailored to your individual needs, giving you a clear understanding of the next steps and how we can work towards your health goals.refined by artisan hands.
-
Follow-up consultations give us the opportunity to review your progress, understand how you've responded to treatment and make any necessary adjustments.
We'll discuss changes in your symptoms, how you're feeling overall, and how you're managing your dietary and lifestyle recommendations, herbal medicines and supplements. Where relevant, I'll also review new pathology results or functional testing to help guide the next steps in your treatment.
Your treatment plan isn't set in stone. As your health changes and we learn more about your individual needs, I'll continue to refine your approach.
-
Before your initial consultation, I'll send you an intake form to complete, which gives you the opportunity to share some details about your health history, current symptoms and main health concerns ahead of our appointment. You'll also have the option to attach any recent or relevant blood test results or medical reports.
Please don't feel you need to organise blood tests before your consultation. If further blood testing would be beneficial, we can discuss which tests are most appropriate for your presentation during your appointment and arrange these afterwards if needed.
Most importantly, come as you are. Your first appointment is a space to talk through your concerns, ask questions and start making sense of what's been happening with your health.
-
This depends on your health concerns, treatment goals and how you're progressing.
Most clients begin with a follow-up around 4–6 weeks after their initial consultation, with subsequent appointments generally spaced 4–8 weeks apart. More complex or ongoing presentations may benefit from closer support initially, while others may require less frequent check-ins as their health improves.
-
Functional testing involves specialised investigations that may provide additional information about aspects of your health, depending on the test used.
Examples include comprehensive stool microbiome testing, breath testing for certain digestive conditions, vaginal microbiome testing and selected hormone investigations.
These tests aren't necessary for everyone. I'll first assess your symptoms, health history and any existing results to determine whether further testing is likely to add useful information to your treatment plan.
When testing is appropriate, I'll explain what it can tell us, its limitations, the costs involved and how the results may influence your care.
-
Testing costs vary depending on the type of investigation recommended. These costs are separate from your consultation fees and are paid directly to the testing provider or laboratory.
I'll discuss the expected costs with you before arranging any testing so you can make an informed decision about whether it's right for you.
Testing is never a requirement to work with me, and I'll always consider what is appropriate for your circumstances and budget.
